Upgrade to 7.2 impacts performance
I have generated a support case, but wonder if anyone else is experiencing problems? I had been using 7.1.2 and upgraded to 7.2. The performance has become very slow, and I notice that all my processor cores are registering 100% load, which I have never seen before (I am running on a Core i7 machine with 16G memory). In fact, the performance is so slow that it is very difficult to use the software.
I have checked for viruses, and no other software seems impacted in the same way.

Look in Task Manager which process utilizes your processor cores to the max. That will give you a hint.
Tip to try: disable lens correction from the tool's header (context menu at the right). Note that this comes into effect for newly imported/opened images only. Current images you have to disable it in the tool itself.0 -
I have seen no performance decrease after my upgrade to 7.2. I have a similar machine, but less memory.
I really have no suggestions to offer except try to run without your virus software running (mine is running, but I have set to ignore CO).
Does it slow down after you process a lot of photos with a lot of local adjustments?
Are you in Catalog or Sessions? I ask, as I have only been processing a few photos at a time recently in a sessions mode with only a couple of local adjustments per photo.

Problem solved!
At the same time as I upgraded Capture One to 7.2 I replaced a faulty RAID disc. I must have pushed some cables onto the CPU fan, which was not running properly as a result. The CPU running frequency was slowed down to reduce heat and thus the most heavy user of CPU resources (Capture One) slowed down almost to a snail's pace!
All fixed now.0
