    Works fine in PRO version...

Have you checked the preferences ?

PREFERENCES--->CROP--->Show Grid (When Grid & Guides On)

Yes, I have checked out all options in crop preferences.

The only time I can see a grid of any kind, is when I use the straighten image tool.

All previous versions of C1 that I've used showed the crop composition grid overlay without any problems.

Help pages 14 & 81 show and describe the use of the crop composition tool, and it would seem from that, that it should be visible in both the LE & Pro versions.

I've submitted an incident report to PhaseOne support - hopefully they can straighten this out.

David, on my LE, the grid lines show only when actively making the crop selection, i.e. they're there only while holding down the mouse button during crop selection, not before nor after holding the mouse button down. And, they only show up in the selected area, not the gray outer area. Bern

    Hi,

I have the same problem as David. In version 4.1 the grid was vissible even if I do not actively move the frame for croping. Now it is not vissible anymore. I just see it during the crop selection. In the moment I do not move anymore the fram the grid disappears and this was not in 4.1.

PhaseOne, please give me back the grid.

Just for information: I work with the windows version

    Thanks for your reply Bern

I know it's supposed to work that way - that's just not happening on this Macbook Pro.

Glad things are working on your LE - based on what you're saying, I'm going to try another mouse - (have been using a "mighty mouse") - perhaps that's the problem, but then again, why did things work OK on version 4.1.2, and all prior versions, but not this new version?

Just had a response from PhaseOne support - the crop overlay/composition grid is not supported in version C1 4.5 LE - it's currently a Pro feature only.

I tested the PRO version and it's right that there is a special grid feature which belongs to the PRO version only but in version 4.1 LE I saw the grid of the crop function in situations I do not see it anymore in version 4.5.
I did see the grid of the crop function until I selected another function. Now I just see it during the movement of the frame.

Could someone of PhaseOne please give an answer what will go on with the grid?

Should be included in Capture One 4 version (not only PRO). This is a configuration error. Has been reported to Software R&D, verified and will be fixed in next version. No ETA on when next version will be released.
Thanks to David for creating a case at support.phaseone.com and reporting the issue!

This feature is still missing in version 4.5.1. ☹️

This feature is still missing in version 4.5.1.

    Oh?

The crop overlay feature is now restored in my LE version 4.5.1 and working fine on this Macbook - did you do a new install as outlined in the release notes?

Thanks PhaseOne for restoring that feature BTW.

Yes I did uninstall CO4 version 4.5 and then I did install the new version 4.5.1 and I still miss the feature.
I now see that we are in the Mac forum but I am using the Windows version. Perhaps this is the difference.

Possibly - other Windows users could verify that for you - perhaps you need to contact support as well.
