Just out of curosity, and with all due respect to PhaseOne, are there any users who actually like COPro v4.5 over COPro 3.xx?

    I have seen some users expressing their appreciation about the software here. However, in general I believe that users satisfied with the product have less urge to post or visit a forum at all. I support some CO4 users (pro photogr) in the wild and they are very satisfied with the product and have really no idea what is going on at this forum. 😄

    I don't have CO 4.5 users in my neighborhood yet, but I experience great similarity with reactions on CO4 from a year ago here now CO 3.7.x Pro users are making the move to CO4.5: some users are scared by the differences over the previous version (constantly comparing, hesitating to learn some new tricks), some nice options are missing, code needs further optimization.
    As with CO4, 4.5 will improve (always to slow for us users), new users will get accustomed to it, some will give up, others are attracted.

    /irony alert/ CO3.x was infamous for its user interface. Now it is put to rest (RIP), it is praised all over. /irony alert off/

    I am fairly happy with CO 4.5, but I have currently not the pressure of a pro photographer in the field. Would I recommend update to CO 4.5 to my clients (which rely on my judgement) who work happily with CO4? I hesitate. No, not yet to be honest.

    There are certain things I really love about C1 v4. That I can retouch a certain colour tone for example. That I can finally create multiple Versions of one File. Or just have one color and the rest colorless, this works so easy now.

    I also like that I have stars and colors to highlight a file.

    But there are so many minor things, that I just can't use it primary:
    * can't easy put the thumbnails in a new window like in V3, there is a workaround, but it sucks.
    * No per color Curve anymore
    * No way to read in old V3 Setting files (this is a joke for a pro produkt)
    * overall speed is much slower for the interface.
    * strange bugs with fonts in the Library view make it completely unusable for me
    * no more double click on rotate tool (WHY did they remove this)
    * simple focus window is gone (yes there is a workaround, but this is a joke)

    There are so many minor things, that the big positive changes are just drowned ... sad thing.
