[color=#FF0000:ociumqj9]I think Phase One's license server is not currently working.[/color:ociumqj9]

I just started my (activated) Capture One and the information it needs to get from the server (such as "Activations left") is not shown in the License dialog.

I found the following entry in the start-up messages in Application.log

ERROR TYPE10....: Server was unable to process request. ---> The request failed with HTTP status 503: Service Unavailable.

I just purchased the license and it was sent to me by e-mail
Unfortunately I get the same msg on both my computers when I copy/paste the license code (stripping the blanks at the beginning and end)

I had installed a trial version on both PC's before but uninstalled them prior to installing the official version

I get the error message on both machines
    What am I missing?

    thnx

    Had the trial period(s) expired?

If not you should still be able to run in trial mode until the access is restored. You should see full functionality for whichever mode you set it to.

    Thanks for the suggestions

The trial periods have indeed expired, so no luck there. (UPDATE - I completely removed all CO components with IOBituninstaller and am now able to restart the trial period, so at least I can work for a month)

This is the error msg details when I do the check

    any insight on that?
    Thnx

    Check 01: Success
    Check 02: BFEBFBFF000206D7 /
    Check 03: 1442824191
    Check 04: OK
    Check 05: 236
    Check 06: success
    Check 07: success

And the most frustrating thing is that when I enter the code it replies with "Valid License Code for Capture One Pro"
Only when I press the Activate button it changes that to an error!!

I think that is when it is trying to connect to your account details profile and fails to make the connection. From your description it sound like the problem I have a week or so back.

I assumed there must be some kind of server update going one - maybe not a Phase run server - but I am guessing. It was back within a few hours that time.

I meet the same thing, I doubt whether the license server is down or something is wrong with my upgrade to win10, the only thing I can do is waiting for good news from this forum 😕

I'm getting the same problem with this too, just getting a license invalid message. Also after checking the licenses on the Phase One website i no longer have any! I submitted a ticket yesterday but have yet to get a response probably due to the weekend.

I'm trying to upgrade from the C1 Pro 8,which was only a $30 upgrade last year, to the new Pro 9, I can find my licence Key number in my profile, but when I try to do the upgrade, it says that I don't have a Licence to upgrade? There is an area to insert my Key info. however when I enter it, I get the error message that the key number is invalid? My receipt is still visible on file...... am I missing something?? many thanks...

I would suggest that you should create a Support Case.

Go directly to Phase for this sort of technical help. This forum, being primarily User to User, can be helpful for many things but activation issues like yours are likely to be more quickly resolved by going directly to technical support.

    Hi,
During the weekend there was a server issue regarding activation of software and this is why you were not able to activate. The issue is resolved now and you can activate again.

We are terribly sorry for the trouble. Please go ahead and activate now if you have not already done so.

    Kind Regards,
    Phase One Support
