In the Layers functionality there are functions for cloning and healing in the same layer.

However of you are looking for full on compositing cutting, and pasting across images, it's not currently a feature of C1 .

    HTH.

    thanks, Grant,
I know those cloning and healing functions but the do not work good for larger parts to clone etc.
Yes I am searching for a real powerful copy and paste function. It probably does not exist, yet.

It probably will never exist. Really what you are asking for is what you would expect to do with a pixel editor like Photoshop or Affinity Photo (or indeed Gimp) but not with a raw processor.

Compare with the Adobe software - you'd probably have to move from Lightroom to Photoshop to do that.

Phase One markets Capture One as "The complete image editing software solution"

Based on that I believe it's fully justifiable to expect copy/paste functionality as descibed by the OP.

But, as you say, it probably will never exist. At least at this point in time Phase One is overselling its product.

Well, it is a comparatively expensive product, so anyone buying it would want to check out what it does and doesn’t do, and perhaps make use of the 30 day trial that is available, before committing their money. Whatever “complete image editing software solution†may mean, it is evident that there are some things C1 is not designed to do, or advertised as doing - stitching panoramas would be another example.
