Feature request
First, I am beginning to *really* like Media Pro and its integration with C1. The video tutorials now available at http://www.phaseone.com/en/Software/Med ... rials.aspx helped me a great deal in figuring out a workflow that I'm not comfortable with.
However, I am a long-time user of Media Pro and only a beginning user of C1. As a result, I have a large catalog of raw files in Media Pro for which I have no corresponding session structures in C1. As you'll know, C1Pro wants import images into a session, which includes a particular folder structure. Media Pro can cause C1 to open an image file, and corresponding albums can be created within a C1 session.
I believe it would be very useful to include an "add" image folder function for a session rather than just an "import" function. This "add" folder function could be triggered from within Media Pro. In this way, it could become quite easy for one to incorporate existing image folders into a C1Pro session structure without having to go through the import process that simply duplicates them from one folder to another with little if any value.

You bring up a good point. It is one of the reason I use C1 a bit less these days. but I try and ignore the session and try not to think of it. After developing, I hate seeing all my folders with a bunch of Capture One folders placed everywhere.
I wish C1 would handle sessions like Media Pro handles catalogs. For this reason, and some other function reasons, I have been using ACRaw more. I don't even like or use LR3, just so you know:-)
So far that MPro is working better for me, and I have high hopes for future updates:-)...I use that then launch Photoshop/ACRAW.
I WISH MediPro could launch only the ACRAW plugin as Bridge does. This would be so much less memory tax.
Interestingly, I would LOVE for C1 to NOT make sessions and do what you suggest (using the catalog as the session...I would likely use it more, just for that!!!!!
I think it would be even more usefull for people who create multiple catalogs as I have started to(client based). It would be less load on EVERything...if that were possible Peter can add that to a tutorial and everyone can pop a modest bottle of Veuve and we can LIVE LIFE!!! I LOVE THIS FEATURE REQUEST!0 -
