It is a known issue since CO4 was introduced. I will list it on my feature request list which I will send to Phase One shortly. Let's see what comes out of it.

I agree, this is an odd one. I was excited to not have to run all our images through PS. Let's hope this (among other things) gets fixed.

I have not tried LZW-function in Ph1 4.5 yet, but in my workflow I allmost allways take my pictures through Photoshop for some retouching, partial lightening/darkening/contrast etc. So this feature will save me the time of going through the "save as"-menu to get LZW-tiff. And by saving as LZW in PS the files will be compressed more, right?

It's been 7 months since anyone hit this thread yet the original problem still exists. Will there ever be a fix? Am I missing something? The LZW option in C1 appears to be useless.

What's your goal with compression? To save drive space? Shorten uploads? You could zip your files before shipping if that's the case. Hard drives are so cheap and big these days I can't imagine that's a problem.

Looks like this has still not been fixed after 13 years....
I do have problems as the LZW compression is very minimal...

I have to run them thru PS.. with add one more step to my workflow.... some retouching services are unable to load a 95MB file...

The compression coming from Capture is to 85 MB... the compression coming from PS is to 45!!!!
