I'm not entirely sure what the benefit might be of converting to DNG from the original RAW format for any reason but someone else may have more insight on that topic than myself.

If you want the adjustment you make in either Capture One or Lightroom to appear in the other program you will need to process out the RAW files to TIFF or JPG, TIFF being the higher quality of the two but of course it will take up more disk space.

    Hi,
If it helps, here is my workflow when using LR and CO11

I have previously set up an untitled session with CO11 and saved it on my desktop as a template.

When I have a new set of photos, I copy the template folder and rename it to whatever name I want for the set of folders.

I import the new photos into the new folder using Llightroom and then do any culling and key-wording in Lightroom.

I then open up the session folder that is in the folder with the photos in. This brings all the photos into CO11.

I now edit the photos in CO!! and save the finished results as a TIFF file into the photos folder.

I can now go back into Lightroom and synchronize the folder and this brings the finished versions into Lightroom.

It sounds light a lot of work, but once you have done it a couple of times it is very quick. This way you have the benefits of Lightroom for the cataloging and the benefits of CO11 for editing. This also works for Photoshop Elements as well.

    Tony

Thank you gentlemen for your advises. I am really thankful for your both suggestions.

I was playing for a while with CO and LR and now stopped using DNG format following cdc comment. Analyzing tonyh-s workflow I managing mine photos now that way.

    1. Importing my raw images from camera to pc as is. 2. Creating session in CapOne within each folder I am working with(all those Capture,Output, Trash folders inside the folder with RAW) 3. All RAW files moving to Capture folder. 3. Working with adjustments in CapOne. 4. Saving results in Output folder. 5. Opening those JPEG files in LR for face recognition and keywording. 6. Syncing them at the end. 7. Touchups with PhotoShop.

Thank you very much for your contribution.
