Please reference the "New Variant" and "Clone Variant" options in the software.

So I have to clone the image to compare it? There is no other way to do that?

I'm not sure what you mean? You simply need to create a new Variant to compare the original image to the image you adjusted, isn't this what you were requesting?
This function does not copy the RAW file, it simply creates a second reference Proxie for you view.

No, it is what I requested and I already do this. I just thought there is a simpler way to do this, without creating a new variant, compare it and delete the variant again.

Using Reset will return the image to it's original settings. Take a peak, then click Undo to return to your adjustments.

That is the alternative route indeed. Cmd+R > Cmd+Z for shortcut lovers.

Resetting and going back is not really an option. I need the views side by side. So I will do like I always do, create a new variant for comparison.

I completely know what you're looking for... and SO wish it existed in Capture One! I got so use to it in LR, and since abandoning LR4 for raw editing that is more adult. For my working style, I need to keep bouncing back and forth with a single key. It's similar to a system at work I use for color grading.. and it's such a commonly used tool (to be able to quickly pop between graded and ungraded), that I didn't even think that Capture One would be missing it.. but it does.

and through much trying.. the creation of a varient, and bouncing back and forth is the only solution. I mailed PhaseOne.. so we'll see what happens. It's honestly the ONLY thing I miss about LR.

let em know if you figure out anything else!

As much as I miss the before/after view. I missed more the easy compare between X RAW files in LR4. This is much better in CaptureOne Pro

I believe DxO has the easiest way of doing this. Just click and hold on the picture brings up the original, you can thus go back and forth in a flash. On the downside, DxO does not show certain adaptations under 75% magnification.

    Cheers, Bob.
