Startup issues
I have just recently purchased C1 7, running on my OSX Mavericks iMac. I'm running 2 monitors, with the Viewer on my main one. I believe the workspace layout is called "Dual monitor - Large Viewer"
I am experiencing some peculiar or unexpected behaviour with this, and I'm not sure whether there's some setting i haven't yet found or something I'm overlooking. I couldn't see this topic covered elsewhere in this forum either. This is anyway not how I expected it to behave:
Upon C1 startup I would very much like things to start up where I left off, with the selected folder in the browser and the last picture i was viewing in my viewer, but this is not happening. During startup, until fully loaded, the Viewer shows the last picture I had selected, while the Browser on my secondary monitor is drawing up all the thumbnails from the folder I was in. This display lasts only for a few seconds until the C1 application is fully loaded/finished starting up, then everything is deselected, and I am left with two "blank" windows:
My viewer says "no image selected", my Library in the tool tab is empty except for the catalog name
My browser says nothing; it has the catalog name in the window title.
Any ideas to correct this would be most appreciated, cause I'm scratching my hair loose here now.

Have you tried swapping the primary and secondary screens around and then restarting?
What happens if, after the startup is complete and you have 2 blank screens, you choose a single screen Workspace (any something 'Standard') and then change back again to the dual monitor set up?

Grant, yes, I have tried swapping a bit around - funny enough C1 seems a bit confused as to what is my "primary" and "secondary" monitors. When I go from single to dual workspace, c1 stacks both the viewer and the browser windows on top of each other on my secondary display. Also, it doesn't seem to matter whether i choose "dual monitor - large viewer" or "dual - large browser" as the workspace. When I try to arrange my workspaces over the two monitors and then save it as a custom one or load a already saved custom one, C1 again can't keep track of the monitors and prefers to stack the windows on top of each other rather than layer out on each monitor, as saved.
Clearly some issue there.
When it comes to "empty" windows - no selection, it now seems as this may be related to how deep into the folder structures i left off:

- If I left off in e.g. "XT1 Day One" folder, c1 will seat up again here
-if I left off in e.g. "2014_03_07 Hedvig Mollestad" windows will be empty and nothing selected, regardless of single or dual workspace. This means that if the folder collapses (as 2014_03 would do, then the folder/image selection will be lost upon startup also.
Would be nice if someone could confirm that this is the case on other installations also...0 -
Hmm.
Too many variables in there to make much progress on the forum I think. Graphics cards, drivers, maybe C1 related stuff and so on.
I think you may already have got about as far as you can without creating a support case to get some dedicated official input.
My GPU driver (Windows) is easily confused I suspect. So I don't stress it. My choice but I'm comfortable with it.

Ok, I have messed around with it a bit more, even downloaded last version of C1, but to no avail. I have registered a support case with this, so we'll see how it goes.

Ok, this is now acknowledged as a bug 0
