Aperture Import
Hi,
Newbie here. I imagine the following has been discussed before , but a search failed to find the answer for me.
Here is my issue :
When importing IMAGES to C1 - a window opens offering various choices to make on import. Most notably it asks me if I want managed images, or referenced ones - Cool.
When importing an Aperture LIBRARY ( no such window opens ) - C1 automatically imports to the new Catalog the entire Library as Referenced - That means that a previously Managed Aperture Library has become a C1 Referenced Catalog without "my consent".
any way around that ?
Thanks

Question... Which application do you want to 'manage' your images ( Aperture or C1 )?
Your best bet is to search the web for 'capture one file management' and read _all_ the answers. If you want C1 to 'work' on some of your Aperture images, Do you still want Aperture to manage the library?
You should probably check out the Phase One/Capture One Webinars ( YouTube ).

Sorry I Didn't make myself clear.
I am In the process of moving into the C1 world after Many years of Aperture.
As a first step I Imported A managed Aperture Library into C1-
Seems that on import C1 did not offer me an option to Have a C1 Managed Catalog - It automatically created a referenced C1 Catalog.
I was asking if there was a way to create a managed C1 Catalog from my Managed Aperture Library on import - and continue from there.

Oops, I will check out the webinars 0 -
The "migrating" webinar answered my question.
