"Easier to use"??? I don't think so. Since when is the Shft+Ctrl+B "shortcut" easier to use than simply pressing F8? That's just one example, but an important one. When I've got 1200 images I'm running through, that means every time I want to change perspective from Horz to Vert I have to take my hand off the mouse and go to the keyboard to accomplish this simple task. Swithing between Shft+Ctrl+B and Shft+Ctrl+T several hundred times every day gets to be a real hassle and is time consuming in addition to interrupting my train of thought. I thought the idea of an "upgrade" was to improve productivity, not to slow down the process.

The new features. Great. Especially the Shadow/Highlight tool, the horizon leveler, and the ability to create variants. All of these are really wonderful features, and are greatly appreciated. If they added these features wihout negating them by screwing up the others, then I would consider this an "upgrade". Those wonderful new features will come in handy on images actually chosen for conversions, but at the very costly expense of slowing down the editing process overall a great deal. Conservatively, I figure the very simple example I used at the beginning will probably add an additional 30 min to an hour of computer time for me EVERY DAY! Explain how this can be construed as being more user friendly and more productive?

... I am sure that there will be many weekend photographers giving the "thumbs up" response because they will never understand what is like to have 1200 wedding images and a deadline in one sitting. V3 was a PRO workflow software, so quick and easy it was ingenious. Now we have been served up a more mainstream program that is missing PRO features. I will say this, and that is if I were new to digital photography, V3 would be SOOOOOOOO easy to learn and use. So on that note V3 was kind of ideal for both PROS and AMATEURS, but V4 lets PROS down while AMATEURS my be thrilled. So, if you are a PRO with a newer camera body, Phase One really DOES NOT have anything to offer at this time.
