Fuji Express Tool Tabs
I'm trying to add tool tabs but right clicking on the tool tab bar does not bring up the Add Tool Tab selector. I also cannot find the Black and White Tool Tab. Are these features omitted from the Express version?

B&W is a Pro tool feature. I think the tabs may also be fixed in the Free Express version but Pro opens up your options quite a bit.

Thanks Grant, I believe you are right because I also cannot move any of the tool tabs including the Navigator, which is very annoying. Guess can't expect more for free! 0 -

I think it all depends on what you want - anyone who simply needs a RAW converter and expects to do everything else in, for example, Photoshop may be totally happy.
The Pro versions do include a lot of additional functionality that makes them good value (in my opinion) especially if you are able to take advantage of a lower priced manufacturer constrained option.
If only there was a Canon only version ... 😉

I use Lightroom but was curious to see what CO's RAW converter was all about for Fuji files. When the free version came out I had no reason not to try it. I started reading the user manual and viewing the learning videos to get familiar with it. Unfortunately the learning material doesn't tell you that many of the features it describes are not available in the free Fuji version. If I knew that upfront I would not have wasted my time trying to figure out why it's not working for me. I think PhaseOne would be well served to update their materials with a notation "not available in free version" and prevent a lot of learning curve frustration for new users. For what it's worth that's my 2 cents! 😉 0 -

I believe there is a comparison document somewhere. Also the Help documentation does, pretty much identify the functions and features that are in Pro versions only.
However I do agree that there is rarely any harm in making things a little clearer as product develop.
That said I think the majority of active users are very likely to have selected the Pro licence of choice (Manufacturer restricted or full RAW file coverage) in the fullness of time. If so the concerns about highlighting differences between Express and Pro may not have been appearing very often in the Phase CRM system or, indeed, in this forum.
IIRC there was a bit if a spike when the Sony Only versions were released and to see the same thing now with the release of the Fuji specific options is to be expected - the Free version may be quite an attractive option for many users.
You could give feedback about your experience through the Support Case system. Phase One welcome such input in my experience.
