I have not noticed this with my 5D mk2, which I use frequently (with CO5). I do not have a 1Ds mk2 to compare with.

What are your noise settings at in the custom function area/menu? Could I send you a raw file to look at?

    Re. noise settings in camera:
C.Fn II, item 1 = 0 (off); item 2 = 0 (standard). These are default values I believe. Note sure whether this affects the raw file (I would think not but that is a common debate).

Yes, you can send me a raw file if you can make one downloadable.

In-camera NR settings don't matter here - Cap One can't read them, and they aren't baked into the RAW file.

Try this: send your file through a file transfer service like http://www.yousendit.com, addressed to yourself. Next, post the download link you will receive in a mail here in a post. If you like to send a few files, you can ZIP them first before upload.
