Can't import a Media Pro catalog (Mac)
MacOS 10.10 (clean install)
Media Pro 1.4.2
Capture One 8.0.1.19
Hi,
I saved a catalog from Media Pro (just over 3 Gb).
Choose "Import catalog > Media Pro catalog …"
After selecting, the activity window comes up, no progress bar and after a minute or two the error
"Catalog Import failed. Unable to read Media Pro Catalog document properties".
Any ideas ?
Chris
BTW: The Media Pro catalog file has only a generic icon in the finder.

I'm not so sure it is about the MP-CO integration. Phase One is going to point at Yosemite, because CO8 officially doesn't support it (yet).
Other than that, i don't have a clue.0 -
Based on comments in the MP forum and the fact that CO8 has been around for over a month I wouldn't hold my breath that there ever will be integration between CO8 and MP. If they intended integration and cared about their client base they would have implemented integration from the outset. 0 -

Usually very true in my experience. Plus if you are fundamentally changing large parts of the application (new Engine etc.) you may feel a need to get that out into the wild and test the reaction before doing anything with a related but somewhat differently oriented product. Plus a number of other considerations.
This is especially true if one has a relatively small and highly specialised development team to make use of.
With a large amount of resource one might expect something different - although we often see the same lack of continuity.
