Could you change the drive name?

Windows tends to allocate drive names on a first come first served basis and things like card readers tend to use up a number of "names". However there is no reason that I am aware of that MOST drives, other than A,B,C and, usually, D should not be renamed to suit your purposes. (If your machine has 2 internal drives and has perhaps allocated E for one of them that might be a constraint.)

Alternatively there should be a utility function that allows you to re-link the catalog to the files, provided for exactly this purpose, albeit perhaps because you might choose to move something rather than have a new machine create general havoc for any of your applications that were quite happy with using drive E previously!

I don't use catalogs so the precise activity required is something I will leave for others to describe if you can;t make it work for you.

    HTH.

Thanks SFA. My new computer has indeed already named one of the internal drives with my old ext drive letter so that is a problem,

So I'm looking for a way of telling the catalog the edits are on the newly labelled drive.

    Hi,

If I remember correctly you can right-click on a directory and select Locate

Have a look at this for Capture One Pro 7 http://blog.phaseone.com/relocating-cat ... one-pro-7/
