    I don't think you are missing anything from your Capture One results by using a Linear Curve. You can add whatever contrast, saturation, response, etc you want to a flat image and get similar responses.

    Personally, I start off with a Linear response curve and season the images from there. The other curves have too much contrast and saturation. Maybe they work better for images taken in a studio and/or with a different camera.
