Linear Response vs Film Standard

I was just wondering, is there any advantage in final results (not necessarily workflow) in using Linear Response? Is there anything you can't achieve, or is harder to achieve, with an already applied curve vs starting with a flatter image?

    I don't think you are missing anything from your Capture One results by using a Linear Curve. You can add whatever contrast, saturation, response, etc you want to a flat image and get similar responses.

    Personally, I start off with a Linear response curve and season the images from there. The other curves have too much contrast and saturation. Maybe they work better for images taken in a studio and/or with a different camera.
