Feature request - displaying locations on maps
Many users of Apple Aperture are moving to Capture One having been disappointed with Lightroom and other software. If C1 is to really serve such a market well, then offering a feature to display image locations on maps is surely an important one (more than just a link to Google maps). Also, the ability to read a GPX files to tag location data. For travellers, maps are a very convenient way to search, explore and find photos without having to have precise keywords. Although Apple Photos is disappointing as an editor, it is brilliant in the way that one can type in a term like "Paris" and see a map of France showing al photos from their GPS locations. No tagging required!
Hopefully this is something that you people at Phase One are thinking about?

I'd love to see this feature as well 0 -
It's good to discuss it here in the user forum. But please file a suport request to tell PO about it.

Hello,
In my opinion, PhaseOne should first, optimise the software: Memory consumption, speed, DAM, etc... Make the core functionality more usable. Map/Localisation is a nice feature, but should be implemented once the rest works great.
Thanks for your suggestion

This.
I'm really not sure that the purpose of software that is primarily intended as a RAW file converter should also be expected to extend into functionality that seems to be the province of web browsers and social media applications.
Presumably Apple have the same opinion and decided to concentrate on social media functionality rather than RAW conversion.
