High processor usage?

Hi there: Did you turn off any programs and services running in the background that may not be needed? I would never suggest a real time process like audio players while using these image programs.

I would check on CO7, is Open CL is on AUTO or defeated? Using Open CL may reduce CPU loading.

8G is not so much RAM nowadays. RAM Prices are VERY low, you might consider an upgrade to 12 or 16G.

Finally I suggest alternative tools besides Windows Task Manager, to check more deeply the RAM and CPU allocations, we use process explorer, filemon and procmon from Windows Sysinternals, there are many other free tools to monitor.

    Enjoy!

Is this program Really that powerful! any ideas why?

Capture One is utilizing your resources to the max.

And regarding the Why? Have you seen the output? Good image quality is heavy on computation.

Thanks for the response guys the rig is mainly used for gaming , so looks like a ram upgrade is in order! Would a SSD make much difference in performance apart from initially booting the program?
I love the programme so its worth it thanks for the advice.

Since the introduction of SSD and use by CO users, reports are unanimously positive.
