Output sharpening workflow
Hi,
I'm curious what everybody is using as their output sharpening workflow. From my web and forum search having a 3rd party tool to do the final sharpening seems to the preferred way with Capture One.
While I like the default sharpening amount most of the time in full size, any smaller than that tends to look quite unsharp. Further, depending on the size of the final image I have to apply different amount of sharpening for the image to look good. This obviously make it quite frustrating to try end export multiple sizes of the same image.
How do you guys handle output sharpening? If using a separate tool that's not Photoshop, which one?
Many thanks,
Toby

Hi Toby,
My way of working is to set sharpening and noise reduction cursors to zero when I import my pictures (I have created an appropriate preset). Then, I push the sharpening and noise reduction cursors to the right WHEN NEEDED (which is rarely the case) to develop my picture as I like.
As far as the output is concerned, I apply some sharpening to images devoted to the web, more specifically with low definition.
I agree it would better if the sharpening could be applied automatically depending upon the output process recipe.

Thanks for your comments Robert.
Looks like C1 10 was the answer to my prayers! Been able to get much better results with less guess work with the new output sharpening.0
