CaptureOne 6.4.4 & Mac 0S 10.8.2- Tethering issues

I have been experiencing problems with CaptureOne Pro 6.4.4 shooting tethered on both my P45 and Nikon D4. I am using 10.8.2 on a new Macbook pro. I initially thought it was a Thunderbolt issue as I was using an FW800- Thunderbolt adaptor but when it happened with the Nikon via USB I knew it had to be software incompatability. I had previously trialled a test version of Capture0ne Pro 7 without any issues (using only the Nikon D4) I have now upgraded to COP7 and everything works fine.
CONCLUSION- any new Mac with OS10.8.2 wont shoot tethered with CaptureOne Pro 6.4.4 - no idea why but it doesnt- COP7 Works fine.
6.4.4 works fine on my other Mac with the previous OS10 (.7?)

    Have you unchecking Canon under providers in the Capture tab in preferences and restarting?
