Do look at the image at 100% to assess what difference the NR has made. Consider using negative clarity in some areas where loss of detail won't matter to reduce the appearance of nose (using a local adjustment).

I shot a band last night and using the venue's lighting. I was pretty high up in my ISO, 12,800. Some areas have noise, mainly in the shadows or underexposed areas. Using C1's noise reduction, I see very little change, compared to Lightroom 5 for comparison. LR5 has rendered a much better end result with this issue. Any ideas?

    Examples, please?

I have to say that for the most part I find Capture One's NR to be noticeably superior to Lightroom's when we're up in five-figure ISOs.

Noise reduction works in Capture one, but i do think the details rendering in high iso images could be better... my solution for this is to use Capture one when iso is low and Adobe camera raw, when iso is over 1600 (on a aps-c image file)
