Nikon D810 tethered to C.O. 7.X or 8.X
I'm trying to tether my Nikon D810 to an iMac running 10.9.5. I am using 7.2.4 but will upgrade to Capture One 8 if that will help.
I connect the camera to the computer via the cord that came with the camera, and then turn on the camera. I then open capture one, create "new session," and select "tethered." What happens next is that the camera shutter will not release. Its like the camera is turned off. If I insert a CF card, the shutter will release, but I have the "no card" blocking feature turned off in the camera. In other words, the shutter will release with no cf card in the camera, but not if the USB cord is in the camera. If I insert a CF card and connect the USB, the shutter will release but no image comes up in Capture One.
Any ideas?

Ha, 7.2.4 support RAW format of 810 but not tethering. So going to 8x is must. Before that I highly reccomend to by a GOOD USB cable. 0 -
Thanks for the info, and you are right. I got a message from tec support saying the same thing. I upgraded to 8 and all is working fine. 😄 0 -
Glad you sorted that out. 0
