Folders reappear after they've been moved
We have just started using Capture One Pro 3.7.7 (Mac OS 10.4.9) in a networked environment and have experienced the following problem. We will navigate to a folder location on the network to process images out of that folder. Based on our workflow, once the processing of images is complete, the technician would then move the folder using the Mac OS Finder to a final (completed archives) destination on the same server.
What we have experienced is that if the Capture One Pro application is still running on the client, then the folder that was just moved (in the Finder) will duplicate itself and reappear back in its original location. If we quit out of the Capture One application, then the folder does not dupe itself back to the original location.
Is there something that we are doing in error? Is there a proper method for managing folder movement within the Capture One application?

Hello,
When Capture One senses that a folder it is linked to has been lost, it will recreate the folder. What you can do is remove the folder from the organize tool when processing is done, then move the folder on the server. Then new folders should not be re-created0 -
Jon,
Thank you for the reply. I actually work with Dave. I tried your suggestion, but still get the same result. This problem occurs if an image from a folder has been processed by C1Pro and then you move the folder containing the original RAW captures to another location.
The original folder name is recreated with a Plist file which is associated with the file that was processed. This happens regardless of what session you have selected or if you have removed the folder from the Organize Tool.
So far, the only solution is to shut down C1Pro, move the folder, and then re-open C1Pro.
Any help that you can provide would be great. Thanks again.0 -
Try removing the session from the session menu before moving anything. If it's in the session menu and C1 can't locate the session it will recreate it.
