Jpgs blurry, but weren't before
10.4.7, PPC, C1 Pro 3.7.6
I'm processing a series of new Canon .cr2. Images look fine in all steps of processing in C1 until I export as jpgs. They look very soft. If I export as tiffs, they are fine. Even if I bump up sharpening to 400 they are still soft. I do have Standard Method, not Soft as the sharpening method.
I opened a previous project and exporting jpgs is still fine.
Is there a preference file or similar that I can trash without losing all of my tagged and exposure settings for the folder of images? I can't run any system or software updates as it's not my system.
Thanks

Verify what your Destination settings are.
Are you using QuickProof or a JPEG Destination?
They are 2 different algorithms, 1 for Speed Vs. 1 for Image Quality
If JPEG Destination, what is the quality setting: Low, Medium, High
Also what is set for Resolution and Scale ?
Be sure all images have the same Sharpening amount applied.
Adjust 1st image to desired, and the select and Apply to all others.

Hi Keith,
I was using the JPEG destination. I tried Medium and High Quality for the compression. Resolution was set to 72 and Fit to Width of 800. I was exporting single files. I tried changing the Sharpening amount as well, but they all looked the same - same degree of softness.
Again, I tried exporting from another folder, and everything went as expected (correct). I ended up having to export as tiffs and then did the web compression in PhotoShop. However, that's not a solution as I have to keep the EXIF info in the image (PS strips it). I think I'm going to make notes of my tag ratings and cropping, and then delete the C1 folder inside of my work folder and hope something was corrupt in there and not the the C1 master preferences or settings.
Thanks,
D0
