That said, hoping this problem is rectified...

Using C1 4.8 + OS 10.5.7 + P30+ shot tether to Macbook Pro firewire for the past 4 jobs.
So far no problem at all. Very smooth workflow.
Much better than the earlier version.

The preview files at 100% is a bit soft.
Files need more sharpen than v.3.7.9

If it is stable like this all the way, I won't go back to v.3.7.9

Interesting. How many hundred/thousand images were you shooting per session, and how much RAM do you have?

Each session is above 300 shots. Macbook Pro 17" 2.0GHz 4GB RAM HDD 320 GB/7200rpm. Hope this help.

    Kitty,

I have a similar opinion. 4.8.1 has been solid so far, even when culling through a 1k photos. I'm using a Mac Pro w/16 K memory, which didn't help when using earlier versions of C1.

More or less same specs over here, except you have a P30+, 15" MBP, 2.4Ghz. I guess it's all kinda meaningless unless we're performing the same operations; if there's a memory leak, it could be coming from a function I'm using when shooting tethered, but you aren't.

P30+ 15" 2.4GHz MBPro 6Gb Ram. No problems since 4.5 or 4.6. Now even faster and smoother. Mac OS 10.5.7 C1 Pro V 4.81. Just shot 400 plus images for catalog yesterday with zero hitch. Even when switching to 1Ds MKIII still stable.

Suggest you look at completely removing C1 Pro and re-installing but pay Attention to completely removing previous stiff like preferences etc. Knowledge base has a list of things to find in the Library etc. Once that is done, you should not have any more issues. Good luck.
