Catalog Corruption? advice
I am using last version of V8 C1Pro on Win 7 Ultimate. V8 has been running fine for many months and I have not changed my hardware configuration either.
Today I tried to open my catalog and instead of around 80,000 images it was now showing 125,000! I have also lost much of my folder structure (only in the catalog) but the cached files seem to be there, as are the master image files and folders. The 'lost' folders seem to scattered all around my folder structure and I would estimate at least half are missing.
I can see both oldest and newest images when I go to 'All Images' in catalog collections or my Recent Imports. Selecting All Images sets off a regeneration of previews and with that number of images it is going to take a long time. I realise that I can leave it to generate them as I need them but I had been hoping the background process would reload the folder structure. From what I see I am not optimistic.
Before I try and restore my catalog anybody have any ideas what might have happened and why? I don't recall it crashing but it could have, I guess, when (if) I exited and left C1Pro to do the closedown unattended.
Is there an easy way of getting C1Pro to regenerate the catalog folder structure and keep all the adjustment history? It can see all the images and more) apparently.
Thanks, Martin
