IPTC Keyword-Chaos

I've got big problems in editing IPTC keywords in Media Pro. If I use non ascii-signs in german keywords (such as ä ü ö), Media Pro doubles them and makes "Gr√§ser" instead of Gräser (which means grass/herbage).
The problem only appears in keywords, description and annotations work fine.
Any ideas?

  I don't have the answer, but did you try copy/paste from your favourite word processor?
  
  This seems to work for other apps, haven't (needed to) tried it in MP.

  After de-installation of the program with clean-app and re-installation everything seems to work fine now. 😊
  Would be fine if there was a de-installer from phase one!

  They don't have that, but they do have an "official" clean install procedure, somewhere in the support articles,
