Upgrade Question
I currently use C1 4.x Pro and would like to try V 5 Pro. When proceeding to the download I am asked for my C1 4 Pro license number. Will it de-activate that license? I would like to have both programs running during a trial period so that I can easily just stick to version 4 if I prefer it.

I have moved from standard v4.8.3 to standard v5 and have a major annoyance. Now the output recipe is not sticky and changes back to TIFF 8bit and AdobeRGB98 every time the program is exited and restarted. I use jpeg and embed sRGB. This is not just for defaullts but affects all processed files. Not good. On the plus side I would say detail preservation is improved and there is better luminance noise removal. Colour noise removal may be marginally better (- look at Lightroom v3 beta for colour noise removal.) Processing is faster and rendering at 100% is faster using XP sp3 single core.
As far as features all is much the same. For some reason Focus mask appears in preferences and can be adjusted, but of course is not a choice in the standard version.
I would consider v5 pro upgrade but we are stung for 25% vat EU.0 -

I don't know why you were asked that at download...I wasn't...but you can easily download a trial version and use it for 30 days. Follow the release notes instructions to have both working rather than upgrading your present copy...0 -

I think you went to the upgrade purchase in our e-shop. Try just going to downloads.0
