It crashes so often.. it is no fun anymore.
Aside from that part they did took all the good features. I am far beyond frustratian already.
I wished they would do something.. to bring back the good old quality stuff from 3.x

Unfortunatly i cant submit all crashes as a lot of the shoots are on location where i have no net.

If you are experiencing consistent crashing on 4.6.1, please go back to 4.6 as this should have a more stable image core. The 4.6.1 update is only needed for P65+ users.

    To NN.

I wholly agree. It was nice to go back to 3.7 today and not worry about when the next crash would occur. It was a great product and I only upgraded to use my 1dsMKIII .

    To Jon,

Thanks for your suggestion. We will give it a go.

Thank you.. I've had so many crashes in 4.6.1 but downgrading to 4.6.0 solved it.

Anyway, thanks for a great product!

My experience after reverse to 4.6 you will still crash, unless you remove files in the cache, batch queue and plist. Then reinstall 4.6

    Good luck.

    Lee and Jon

I too have been experiencing crashes while shooting with my Canon 1Ds Mark III and Pro4.6 on my new MacBook Pro. It seems to be an issue when I've shot more than about 100 captures in a session. I'm going along fine, not shooting terribly fast and suddenly it freezes while importing the images from the tethered camera. I shoot mostly interiors and food but the first time I had to shoot people and the frame count got past 100 it started crashing. Next time it happens I may try creating a new capture folder for each shot, as a work around.

I've been in touch with Jakub in support and it appears to be a recognized issue.

    "Dear Andreas,
my colleague informed me that we are currently investigating this issue and that it seems it is occasionally present even when shooting with the Canon's EOS Utility. At the moment it is not certain whether the problem can be fixed solely by us, Canon or Apple. I am sorry for the inconvenience on your behalf, but we are doing everything we can to fix this.
In case you would notice any way how to reproduce this issue or workaround to fix it, please let us know as we are looking for any hints that might help us solve this sooner or help Apple or Canon tackle the issue.
Thank you very much for contacting us.
    With kind regards,

    Jakub

I've heard from my supplier that other people are having this issue. I'm surprised that it has not come up more often in this forum.

    Any thoughts, Jon?

    Andreas
