D3s Film Extra Shadow Tone Curve Issue
When using the my D3s and extra shadow tone curve the image becomes very dark with way to much contrast, to the point the setting is unusable (the others are fine). With my D3 on the same settings the tone curve performs as expected, I've just purchased the D3s and its causing me problems with my workflow, help please!

I'm having the same issue (also with "film high contrast") and already created a support case with extensive examples and comparisons with my old 5D mk1. So far only a promise to work on it but no solution by Phase One. Apparently not that many D3s users seem to work with C1. Maybe creating another support case will provide another incentive to solve the issue with these film curves.
As an interim trick you might do the following: Duplicate and rename the "film extra shadow" and "film high contrast" curves for the Nikon D700 thus making them usable for the D3s. Therefore C1 has to be quit first. On a Mac you'll find the curve files by right clicking C1 -> show package contents. Then go to Contents -> Frameworks -> AppCore.framework -> Versions -> A -> Resources -> Film curves
Duplicate and rename "NikonD700-Film Extra Shadow.fcrv" and "NikonD700-Film High Contrast.fcrv" to "NikonD3s-Film Extra Shadow-D700.fcrv" and "NikonD3s-Film High Contrast-D700.fcrv". I used the "-D700"-endings in order to keep these two film curves distinct from the original ones. When you restart C1 these film curves will show up additionally to the original ones. However you will have to repeat this procedure with any update of C1 as long as the original film curves aren't fixed by Phaseone. This workes but presumably the result is not perfectly optimized for the D3s.0 -
Support just notified me that this issue has already been fixed with version 6.4.3. I hadn't installed it yet because I didn't expect improvements for my equipent.
