All correction disappeared

With C1 closed, I would move all the C1 folders out of the working folder and then open and point C1 at the working folder again. Once all previews had been rendered, I'd close C1 and copy the moved folders back again and see what was replaced and what wasn't..

Can you see the previews for the original files but not the edits?

C1 DB, Sony Express, Sony Pro or Pro mode?

I can see the preview on the right that still has the post i did, but the image on the center and the correction tools on the left ( where i can apply correction) doesnt show corrections. They all disappeared.

Its like capture one didnt recognize anymore COS files, but i didnt removed or changed location of any of the folders.

I work close to my collegue with a mac. We use the same capture, the same sessions.

All the session i open on my pc, in every folder or location , has corrections disappeared .. EVERY session, my collegue on the mac , everything is fine.

    What can i do ?

    Capture one Pro 10

    Check your system.

Have you installed any other applications recently?

    Any windows upgrades?

    Permissions?

What default application is assigned to the .cos files (or example) in Windows?

Any thoughts about my previous questions above?

I had this happen following Autumn 2017 "creator" update for Win 10
(I could correctly use the word 'ironic')

I lost edits back the date of the update.
I did not lose all edits in all sessions. The edits infos files do have edit information but none before the update at.. Christmas. Happy Holidays. COP (or COF, I forget which) are present but none before 12-25-17

I don't know what I did to stop my edits disappearing other than reboot my machine. I have only opened/closed C1 one time but my edits remained.

Because I still do not trust C1, I will do this :
    > Copy all edits information files (COP, whatever) BEFORE closing C1

This is similar to a suggestion above but that suggestion was to copy after C1 was closed. Because I don't know if the files are being deleted when C1 is closed or as C1 is opened, I will copy before closing the application.

I have had C1 hang or crash or had OS crash while editing and Never lost any edit infos. I didn't think it was possible with this type of software... the COP files aren't deleted but they contain no new info; the file modification dates don't change. Either whatever changes I see during an edit session are only in RAM... (not typical for C1) or something is 'rolling' back the files to an earlier date.

If this is a Windows shenanigan, I would dearly like to know.
