SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH PROCESS RECIPE
I've encountered serious problem with the PROCESS RECIPE. when I imported a raw file as a psd/tiff to photoshop in a resolution of 300 px/in. It only output 72 px/in. I found this error while I was editing my images in photoshop and the details aren't that good. So I checked it in photoshop the images imported are only in 72 px/in
I double check it in co 7.0.1 pro, under resolution it has a 300 px/in.
I restarted and doubled check it again c0 7 pro and output another file in photoshop, same problem occured.

Michael, the quality is not at all affected. The print might be at 72 dpi, but now the print's dimensions are more than four time larger. You can resize as you wish, at 300dpi, but first make sure that "Resample Image" is unchecked.
Trust me, that's not the reason you should worry about.
My reason to worry is this:
I've submitted a support about this problem (although is more an annoyance) in the first days of CO 7.0.0.
Is a simple to resolve bug and I've expected to have corrected in the next version, easily.
No, it was not. Makes me wonder what are the priorities in the development team and what's the point of creating support cases that are not taken into account. (I have another one from the CO 5.0 times, regarding name preferrences. At that time they've promised that "will get addressed in a future". Last week, I've contacted them again, remember now we have CO 7.0. And now they say again: "Thanks, will be addressed in the future". 😂 )0 -

The images that i output in co 7 pro are for all print. 72 px/in there a huge difference when it comes to details.
Every time I use C07 Pro, I always send them support case, which is waste of time in my side.
I'm thinking to ditch this software and use ACR or Lr4.3 which is more stable and versatile to use. I've wasted my money to upgrade in this software.0 -
Michael, believe me.
There's no loss of quality, per se.
3840x5670pixels (the normal file size, in example, for a 5D MkIII) equals:
a) 32.51X48.77cm @300dpi,
b) 12.8X19.2 inches @300dpi,
c) 135.47X203.2 cm @72dpi,
d) 53.33X80.00 inches @72dpi.
ALL OF THE ABOVE!
The print quality, starting with any formula of file will be absolutely the same!0 -
Dear Phase Developer Team,
I still am a fan of Capture One, that's why I care to continue to read and write here.
But please do something about all of these minor bugs like this.
If I'm having troubles explaining this small resolution thing to a pro (!) what may I expect when I need to explain it to an innocent client???0
