We would need to know what types of files you are scanning. We would also need to know what you have set as your Render Engine. If the files are not supported in Capture One, then you will need to change from the Phase One Render Engine to the Apple Render Engine.
In addition it is possible that the files cannot be scanned as they cannot be accessed. If you have any further concerns you are welcome to create a support case and provide some files.

image files, RAW and TIFF, rendering - apple render engine.

the scans will be progressing and then just stop. older version of iview media pro can scan them. but unfortunately for me, doing a search will cause the program to crash. so my work around is scan in iview - it's pretty fast at scanning but renames files with random numbers in the middle of the file name or description. then i search using impressions media. you can see why i was hoping the new version of the software would be my solution.

can i open a support case before i buy the software?

    thanks!

Yes but from what camera? What type of TIFF files? Please provide specifics.

Of course, just contact us through the support system. No purchase necessary.

Is there any solution to this issue? I have a whole lot of psd, tif, jpg and nef files that won't scan and say "Rendering disabled" when I want to open them.

All of the nef files work fine in CaptureOne and a large portion of the jpg images were generated with CaptureOne.

The remaining problem imges are all scans, most of which saved in Photoshop as either psd, tif or jpg.

I did a test on one of the psd's by changing it to Lab and back to rgb in PS and resaving. This didn't work. Saving the file as tga finally worked and the image was properly scanned. I also noticed that processing the tga version went light years faster than equally sized working psd files.

Hdr and open exr images are totally ignored - are these formats not supported?

I have been using the trial (ver. 1.3.2.58847) on OS X Lion for 10 days now and would really appreciate this issue to be sorted out before the the end of the trial period. Apart from these shortcomings the program is very useful but unfortunately this problem holds me back from committing to a purchase at this stage.

Add me in here as well ...

I have just filed a support ticket.
I have the same issues as described in this thread with the addition of the mosaic effect described in another thread ( viewtopic.php?f=43&t=12972 ).
All files are of the supported format.

And yes, the old Expression Media works flawless to date (same images).
    Go figure.
