License expires DAILY!
I have been using C1 since the beginning, made an original $500 purchase when the software came out and a subsequent $200 upgrade purchase. I use the software on one computer daily.
Yesterday, with a deadline to submit a project, I opened the C1 software V 3.74, and received a message that my license had expired! I tried to reactivate and receive a message that I had exceeded the number of activations.
I was really stuck and needed to get up and running quickly. SO - the only way out of this mess was to buy another $499 license. I am not at all happy about this since I had a legitimate license. But there was nobody to contact and I needed to get moving.
TODAY.... I fired up my computer, launched C1 and I got the same \"LICENSE EXPIRED\" message. This is BS. What is going on here.
I feel that I should get a refund on my $499 license fee. I run the software on two machines and always have; my desktop and a laptop that I take on location. They are both windows versions. Over the years I have changed harddrives several times, and I suppose those installations may count towards the numbers of activations, but they should not. I am following the rules - my personal use only.
I would appreciate 2 things:
1 - What is causing the daily \"Licence Expired\" message
2 - How do I get a refund of the $499 I paid yesterday?

Mike,
This should be a Support Case, since it will help R&D who is working on this issue. Those using removable hard drives are experiencing this problem. Not external, but cassette-type removables.
Any change in a hard disk will trigger reactivation, as will upgrade or reinstall of OS, and reformat of drives. You get 2 computer activations per license and are alway entitled to these 2. When you get the 'exceeded' message, you create a Support Case with explanation, email of Profile and/or Product Key and they get reset - as yours have been.
Contact Marketing@phaseone.dk to pursue refund request.
Sincerely,
k c0
