Nobody who knows can say - Phase One does not pre-announce.

Silkypix has just announced D4S support.

    Forget PhaseOne. Probably months away.

If anyone is totally shackled to Cap1 do not buy a new camera until Cap1 has caught up!

    Hello Drew

On the contrary. My comment is based on recent exchanges in the Forums. Also, I think we can distinguish negativity and pessimism. The former is exemplified by the way PhaseOne seems to blank user requests for information on what updates are planned in the near future. The latter is exemplified by users' reactions to this negativity. Unfortunately I seem to have caught the PhaseOne bug!

I would like to write to you privately. I will create a Support Case marked for your attention. Hopefully this will be acceptable to all concerned.

    Best wishes, Peter

Phase One does not "blank user requests", it simply follows its own long-standing rule: see Rule 1.

And this position is essentially the industry standard - feel free to ask this exact same question of Adobe for Lightroom...

We listen a lot to the market through our users and directly through the media.

We of course have plans, but a huge number of things can move these dates back and forth, which is again one of the reasons we do not pre-announce release-dates or camera-support.

I will wait buying a new camera until Capture One supports it. I tried all relevant RAW converters, only Capture One gave the results I wanted.

I always thank that waiting a little time after release is a good idea even if frustrating. It's good to hear opinions about how the initial deliveries are working out before committing to a new and unknown product. This is especially true if running a business that cannot afford to be hit by surprises.

It also gives the software vendor time to get things right for you if ther first efforts are not quite as people wish.

Lionel, I love your interpretation of "really soon....", its refreshing 😂
Let's hope however that next week will indeed bring the update with support for several missing cameras.

I can not wait to get a new version either. After the complete loss of my equipment (stolen in Southern Florida) I will get my D4s soon and would hate to use a different workflow for converting RAW images.

    Thanks,
    Peter

I just have seen this and can not wait to test the new Nikon D4s and how it compares to my new D800E as well. Coming from a long history with Canon I have to learn a few things about the menus and buttons on a Nikon.

Thanks for releasing the update today 😊

Tethered support requires a new public software from Nikon. One is not yet available to us so therefore there is no tethered support yet to offer.
