Graphics Cards
Hey Guys
Was getting one of my 2009 MacPro's serviced today and the tech guy swapped out my 4870 graphics card for a 5770 to test something and out of interest I opened up a capture folder and noticed immediately that the images were displaying so much faster at 100% than the 4870. I ordered a 5870 replacement will let you know how it goes. Just thought I'd share

Hey Rick, I'd be really interested in your findings with C1/PS etc.
I'm looking at upgrading the card in my 2008 MacPro and was unsure which to choose between the 5770 and 5870. Many people say for most apps under Mac OS there is virtually no difference between the two cards (apart from cost) and the 5870 is mainly a gaming card.

Any one tried a Quadro 4000 card with CO. Costs more than a 5870 but would be good for my After Effects work.? -1 -
The 5870 not working out very well? 0 -
My suppliers don't have have any stock so I thought I'd do some more research. I've started doing more AE work so am looking a the 4000 but wanted to see if anyone had issues I know the driver had problems when it first came out. 0
