feature differences beween mac and windows version
Is there any list that can be referenced that details the feature differences between the Mac and Windows versions. For example it appears that the auto hide browser option is Mac specific although the user guide for Version 12 does not make this clear. If it did I wouldn't have wasted time trying to find it. It also appears that configuring the top toolbar in the Windows version has fewer options than in the Mac version. Again the user guide does not highlight these differences.
Thanks

The list of differences is quite small. I can't remember all of them, but I think you have covered most of them already. Before the current version there were also differences between the way that menus were organised, but that has mostly been eliminated too as far as possible (apart from the inevitable differences because of the way that Mac app menus work in general).
No doubt some others may be able to suggest one or two other points, but I am pretty sure that you will find there are not many.

Since we are currently discussing this in another thread : the Mac version has a built-in workspace named "Dual monitor - Large browser" that is not available under Windows. Also, it is possible to have an independent browser window, similar to the large viewer window. 0 -
Thanks for the responses.
I am still learning the software having decided to make the move from Lightroom. I think it would be helpful if Phaseone made these differences clear in the user manual which I have had to rely heavily on as a new user.

Another difference is that the Mac version is "scriptable" (with Applescript) while the Windows is not. For the same price, they could have integrated VBScript or JScript but Windows users do not belong the same customer class.
More generally, the Windows version was developed "after the fact", not simultaneously with the Mac version (P1 correct me if I'm wrong). So the (not very long) difference list is most often related to "what do I have in the Mac version that was not implemented in the Windows version ?".0 -
Biggest difference:
The windows version needs to re-read every preview image when you open a session/catalog. Takes much longer than the Mac version which opens pretty much instantly.0
