Copying an empty session file to multiple computers

So I have a client that needs to create 50-100 sessions per week and they want a way of tracing/distributing which machine has which session. I have written an app that does this and have tested it as best I can but I'm wondering if there are any known issues when using an empty .col50 file on a system that didn't create it. I've opened the .col50 with sql lite and made sure it empty.

    I haven't done this myself but what should happen, is once the new machine opens the session it rewrites the necessary directory changes concerning its present location. So, in theory, not a problem.
