Copying Session Albums
I have created Session Albums for a project. In this case, I have multiple images with multiple athletes and wanted to create albums that would allow someone to easily find all the shots with a certain player. (I cannot do this with Folders since I am using Folders to segregate the files in a different way). My question is whether the album establishes links relative to the Capture One file, or whether the link is based on absolute paths. Since I have to deliver these files to a client on a posable drive, will the Session albums work when they are on the portable drive after being transferred from the Main Tower Hard Drive? Last time I tried to transfer it to another computer, I got a bunch of "Question Marks" in the albums, but the images in the session folders were fine.

By default, session folders are created relative to the session's main folder and the session file (*.col50). As a result you can move them to a different location on the same system and to another system (but same platform Win or Mac) as long as you keep the set starting from the session's main folder together.
I assume but did not test, that favorites and albums in the session work similar. Because an album (and favorite) are stored in the session file I assume they fully depend on the folder structure to be maintained.
Once you create or assign an absolute instead of relative folder to your session, typically a folder outside the session's main folder, you can end up with a broken link easily.
Perhaps you can do a simple test with the description above. Make a test session, few images, an album and move it around and open it after the move.0
