    Hello,

I agree that it would be cool to have insight about C1v4... The news letter from captureone.com are getting old and does not contain many news update.

I too want C1 v4 Dev Diary... And it would increase the hype since when you don't ear about something for a while you sometime start to forget about it and lose interrest

    Cheers.

Just a guess, but I think the folks at Phase One probably want to release it even more than we want to have it.

I'm sure of it, but I don't understand why they are so much silent about the developement process. I mean, it's almost two years in the developement and they are still at Alpha version. This is not an Operative System, it is "only" a professional software, not even as complex as Lightroom or Aperture. They must have some problem because otherwise is not understandable.

And please, don't tell us you are planning for 2007 release, because in 2006 you planned for 2006 release. Someone need to plan future investments and 500$ software is a real investment, I think.

    Thank you.

I can only agree with what's been said, the time frame for v4 has passed well beyond ridiculous and the secrecy is not helping. I abandoned C1 and moved to ACR a long time ago, current version of C1 is antique at best in comparison. Please PhaseOne, start respecting the considerable faith and investment your buyers have given you and at least let us know what's really going on here.

I agree as well. Yes, C1 does what it always has done very well, but all the rival software has caught up and mostly passed C1 in features - shadow/highlight adjustments and high quality full screen rendering to name two. I bought C1 when it was by far the most expensive raw converter because I wanted the best conversion quality. C1 needs to communicate to it's customers far better so I for one don't end up purchasing something with more features from a rival.

Thanks for taking a moment to let us know of your concerns. Good designs take significant time, and we've been working on Capture One 4.0 non-stop. Any new products that have been released will be posted on our website, www.phaseone.com. Keep checking back for the latest announcements or sign up as a beta-tester. You will receive an email when the beta is available. Thanks!

I agree with the recent post and concerns regarding C1 v4. I am new to Phase One and C1 and all I can say is I am very disappointed with the current version of C1 it appears to be antiquated compare to many of the programs out there. This coupled wit the lack of communication regarding the process of development, makes me wonder if I made the right choice. My work flow has been turned upside down and yet I'm told don't get to use to the current version of C1 since v4 will be radically different, this was told to me by a local rep. You would think considering the cost of a a new back that C1 wouldn't be so far behind in development. I wish I would have explored C1 more prior to purchasing a P25!

    Sorry Rebecca,
but it is almost two years that PhaseOne tell us to keep watching for announcements on the website, this sounds like a joke.
Give us some "real" news, please.

    Thank you.
