how to copy an image and varients between sessions
How do I copy several images and each image's variants from one session to another? (I do NOT want to copy the entire session.)
Currently I pack the source image(s) as an EIP file then I point "import image" from the second session at the .eip file. Finally I unpack both eip files. (one in each session) This works but is slow and cumbersome. Better ideas would be appreciated.

Do you mean you want a copy of the original file and it edits to appear in a different session's folder system?
Or do you just want an image and its edit(s) to be visible in two (or more) individual sessions?

SFA:
I would like a COPY of an image, its variants and edits placed in a second session. (Any future adjustments in sessionA's image would not be seen in the separate sessionB copy.)
My original comment about using EIP works for raw images, unfortunately it doesn't work if the original is a 16-bit tiff.0 -
I have nothing to offer with regard to 16bit TIFF files, sorry.
The only thing that comes to mind otherwise would be to try a direct Import with existing edits from the current location.
Maybe you have tried that already?0 -
Hy, I asked exactly this some months ago and I think there is no good way to do this. By EIP there are some problems I described here.
My, intention was to mak a new Session "Best of" and bring some Pictures with all their Variants, Metadata, edits ... from different other sessions to this new session.
I haven't found a "good" way since now to do this.0 -

Did you try "Import" to the new session?
