TIF or TIFF Problem: Rendering Disabled +

EM2, SP2. All media checked in Catalog Importers. Files saved as .tif in PS CS5, no layers, no compression, IBM PC bit order. EM shows icon of whatever program is set to default display tifs (file association). (I've tried a number of them: QT, WPV, etc.) Double clicking on files w/these characterics yields either a Rendering Disabled or No Importer Found For Media File.
