Tks J.D. This works fine for individual RAW files.

However it is a bit tedious if one wants to locate all the RAW files for one single Cap 1 catalog, especially as there are often a hundred of them for a single catalog. (The files for each catalog are all located in the same folder.) And I have scores of catalogs.

Do you, or somebody else, know how to locate all the files in one catalog in one single and simple operation?

I tried by activating/selecting all the RAW files in a catalog in the viewer using (cmd - caps). The problem is, that when more than one picture is selected, then "Right-click > Locate…" is not an available solution.

Instead of right-clicking on a thumbnail, you right-click on the relevant folder(s) in the library, then -> Locate.

Couldn't you right click on the root folder in your catalog and choose 'Locate'? This should then relocate the entire catalog at once.

[i posted this when tenmangu81 posted as well]

Indeed this is how I would do it (right-clicking on the root folder and "Locate..."). Have you tried it?

Thanks to all three of you. Unfortunately your suggestions do not work when I try to implement them; "Locate" is greyed out.

This is what I did: loaded ("opened") a Capture One catalog, clicked on the Library tool, right clicked on "All Images", found "Locate" on pop up menu, could not select "Locate" as it is greyed out.

Further suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

All images is an album, of course 'Locate' is greyed out. You need to be right clicking on the root folder of your catalog (a little lower in the left hand bar, called 'Folders').

Was this not covered when you did the certification course? 😐

    😉

I have no clue as to why, how and when this Certification was awarded to me; I do not even know what it means. Also, I do not know how to delete it. I have other more urgent problems, more later, watch this space.

I'm running into this also... locate is greyed out everywhere that I can find it except on individual files, and the software's not smart enough to scan the folder to find other offline files... definitely a bug.

I once had a similar problem when I moved all my files to a new external HD and the solution was to name that new HD with exactly the same name as the old one. Then the C1pro catalog thought it was the same disk and "voilà" the offline thing gone away.
But, in my case "locate" was not grayed out.

    Hope this helps

Renaming the drive is not really a solution.

I have a similiar problem. Working with LR and CO9 in parallel. Ingesting with PM on a MacBook Pro and then importing with LR. Images stay in the same folder when importing to LR. In some cases I work with CO9 on the MacBook on some of the images. The raw files are still in the same folder (only one set of raw files, but one LR catalog and one CO9 catalog).

When ready I export from LR as a catalog (where I even can add more than one folder in opposite to CO9!). Same with CO9.

Then I import the LR catalog on my iMac to external RAID system into the existing structure where I could work again on some images. No problem as LR asks me where to import the images and that's it. Everything works perfect. And I have only one LR catalog with > 200.000 images without any problems.

Importing the CO9 catalog provides the same problems as already described in this thread here. I need to connect the CO9 catalog to the images on a different drive and folder. But no chance here with CO9. Workflow with CO9 is just a nightmare.

Any other solution or is it a bug.

It seems like a bug, that's been in there for quite a while.

Capture One's behavior with referenced files moved between computers (or disks) is very frustrating. On a trip, I created a catalog containing one project and in that project two albums, one for Eastbound, one for Westbound. Back at home, I copied the catalog and the corresponding image folders (one folder for each album) to my home computer. I expected an Offline condition and got it.

I right clicked on one album, selected Locate, and specified the new location. Worked fine, all images online.

I right clicked on the other album, and Locate was grayed out and all images were Offline. If I select an image in the album, right click, and Locate, that works. But I don't want to do that 76 times. If I select multiple images in the album, Locate is grayed out.

There has to be a better, more consistent way to Locate all the images in an album when they all "live" in the same operating system folder.

I've had similar problems before, and am strongly tempted to use managed images, though that seems like a workaround, not a solution.

i am frustrating when using C1 in Catalog mod .
because when you change the paths of your Images folder inside c1 catalog you will get
bunch of images information still stored inside DB and showing in the browse.
there is no way i found in c1 for a automatic function to regenerate the thumbnail previews and clean the DB ,
thats way i am now still using C1 in session Mod to have moor control for moving images around 💡

another problem that i found is the Double image Import data to Catalog or session, this is really frustrating, there is no
way in c1 find me Double Images bay using such filter or intelligent album function.
i hoop Phase one do something for it. or some one could help.
    thanks.
