When trying to bring up the filter, it says 'not installed correctly,
    reinstall from original media.\"

I downloaded my files. Don't quite know what to do.

Is this plug in only useable for the Phase One camera?
That's what it says...I feel stupider and stupider, because I don't
read the fine print. My problem originates in a concern
for moire during wide angle star trails shots. I've noted
that the trails are producing distortion when they are extremely
close together. Maybe I'm pushing the limits, and need to zoom
    back from the 12mm setting.

    Art,

It will work with other image files, not just Dbacks. This is a Photoshop Plug-in that after installation will appear as one of the Filter choices.

There is an install folder named DeMoirize and within is a SETUP.EXE file for installation. Have Photoshop closed before launching this .EXE
    This will install at:
    C:\\Program Files\\Adobe\\Adobe Photoshop CS\\Plug-Ins\\DeMoirize

Verify the installation and then open PhoShop to see if the filter is available.
There was a Case of user having PhoShop 7 and then running upgrade to CS and had much difficulty installing. Theory is that there were some dependency file/s for the filter missing. Tech Support suggested an uninstall/reinstall of Photoshop and we have not heard back.

As far as Star Trail Shot phenomena, if I understand correctly, you are capturing long exposures? If so, lots of heat in chip = lots of noise.
So, it sounds to me more of a Color Noise issue than a moire.
Moire = occurs when one repetitive pattern meets another or interact
Color Moire = occurs in fine textiles like silk or other close-woven fabric

    Sincerely,
    k c

KC, maybe PS was open when I attempted install. I'll tryit again.
Star trails at this wide a focal length do indeed have repeated patterns
that may induce moire. If this next install fails, I'll be back.

    thanks

I've done everything right, but the plug in still doesn't work.

It's not crucially important, just something I thought I'd try.
My computer did one of those 'self corrections' this week,
an automatic registry clean up and a lot of things are screwy,
a lot of my programs require re-activation, so who knows
    what's what?

I have the same problem as a few others regarding the C1 Pro v3.7.1 and 3.7.3 DeMoirize plug in not working. I've uninstalled v3.7.1, then installed v3.7.3, uninstalled PS CS2 and repaired it and then uninstalled CS2 again and reinstalled it. DeMoirize still won't work and I get the same error message as Art.

However, it does work on my laptop installation, which should be the same.

My desktop where it won't work is an AMD 3200 x64 CPU, 2 GB's RAM running XP SP1. I've tried ZoneAlarm and AV on or off and no change.

    Any other suggestions?

    Pytlowany,

This should be fixed in the Final Release of 3.7.3, but in the meantime,
Please see Knowledge Base article # 2129

I have tried all the suggestions given here, and in the knowledge base, and with my new version of Capture One (3.7.1), I cannot get the Demoirize plugin to work with Photoshop 6. It appears in the list, but says it must be reinstalled from the Phase One Media (which I've tried before and after completely reinstalling the Capture One software). This is a quite important function for me as I take a lot of images of engravings or copies of engravings which often show a moirize effect (although lessened with my new P20 digital back). Since this thread, is there any more information anyone can offer??

I just realised release 3.7.4 is out, so I'll try that (I've never been able to update because it always causes my Capture One software to crash).
