CO8 doesn't read video file date

Any videos coming from my D810 seems to be missing dates in Capture One. They all end up at the top of my catalog when sorted by date. The OS sees the create date and i've even tried using Photo Mechanic to create an XMP file to be read during import but no luck.

Is there any way at all to add a date to the video files in the catalog?

    This is normal behavior for C1. As fas as i understan, C1 does not read file info (such as date created) but rather rely on metadata for everything. If your file does not carry a date in its meta, capture one would not know. Nikon video files does not provide any metadata. Similarly, if you strip the metadata from an image file I believe you should see the same effect, I.e. no date info.
