Must be your particular installation. D700 and D7000 NEF's render properly on my Mac's.

    Thanx for the answer.
But – after reinstallation – rendering thumbnail with "preferred engine: Apple" only.
Working only with NEW catalogue. If I open my old catalogue (preferred engine Apple is active) and I try to import new folders with NEF's – rendering not working.
    PhaseOne engine don't work.
Mac OS 10.5.8, MacBook Pro, 4Gb RAM.

    best regards

Most likely due to your version of OSX, since RAW support is built in to the operating system. Works fine with 10.6.8 and Apple rendering - also Phase One rendering.

I concur, the rendering in the new 1.01 version using the Phase One rendering engine is working now, including the light table view. The thumbs now once rebuilt actually reflect the condition of the saved nef file even though when selected they no longer reflect the edited version from Capture NX2. The Capture One 6 edits do reflect correctly as well. The stability issues are mostly fixed as well. Finally able to use the catalog functionality with my RAW workflow. I think the look of the files in the thumbnail rendering is now far cleaner in the Phase One rendering engine than the Apple engine. The metadata issues I had are working fine.

I'm so sorry but in my computer – not working... 😊
Previous version of Media Pro was very fast...
After upgrade I try to add only one folder with NEF's... only 192 photos – render time: about 10 minutes with Apple engine.
With Phase One engine – mission impossible...
Version 1.00 – render time with Phase One engine about 20 second.
Mac OS was exactly the same. Probably I must to downgrade to previous version of Media... And wait for next informations from Phase One Staff.
At last I have one question: where I can find the link for the disc image for Media Pro 1.00?

    best regards for all

I think some of us do have a local copy of the previous version of Media Pro...

Rendering of raws on Mac is very slow on a quad core Mac Pro with 16GB RAM.

Same machine with Bootcamp and Windows XP seems OK - same as Expression Media. But the Mac version of Media Pro needs a lot of improvement to make it tolerable.
