Sharpening Question
Under the Detail Tool I noticed the amount of default sharpening is different for each RAW file.
Why is that?
Thanks,
Bill

For my cameras (Canon) it varies by camera and as far as I am aware the base line setting for all cameras is based on individual analysis of the sensor capability.
There may be other factors for other cameras I suppose. Possibly also some variations if presets or styles are set to be applied automatically.

I'm using one camera, Fuji X-T1.
I hadn't noticed it before ver 8. Not to say ver 7 didn't do the same thing, I just didn't notice..
Still, how would Capture One determine sharpening mounts from file to file?0 -

With the Fuji sensor ..... who knows.
I would suggest you create a Support Case and ask Phase One. Perhaps they have to do something different with non-Bayer array sensors.
That said, ultimately the default sharpening settings are only a starting point for your personal preferences. On the other hand if you are finding that the values set seem to be entirely anomalous shot to shot (and are not related to the lens settings - perhaps another factor?) then I am sure people would like to know about it.
HTH.

In my case (Sony cameras) the sharpening amounts change between models / sensor types and then among different ISO settings but I don't notice changes from image to image.0
