Erroneous folder turning up
Hi.
I've had this issue for ages and have just put up with it... but thought now that it's been about 18months and with updates that it has not gone away to finally ask.
When I create a new session it creates 2 folders. 1 folder that I shoot to with the new name and another one with the name of a job that I shot early Jan 2011. The 2nd folder always has this same name. It's a folder with the usual internal folders... output, selects, trash and .col50. Not a major issue as I just trash it... but it does get annoying
Any ideas on how I can get it to stop turning up on every shoot ? Have I set this up in preferences by mistake?
Thanks
Jeremy

When you create a new session Capture One always create a set of folders. By default these folder are named after their session function: Trash, Select, Output and (optionally, applies to tethered session only, versus untethered session) Capture. You can give different names to the folders in the New Session dialog. You can also add folders after you created a session, make these folders session favorites if you like.
You can not prevent the creation of these default folders.
You can however create your preferred session structure once, name it template session, and copy the entire session and rename the main session folder and the *.col50 file to create a new session.0 -
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I am not sure I explained the error I am getting. I understand the folder structure that lie within a session folder i.e. "trash", "output" "selects" etc.... that is normal. But I get two session folders turn up on my desktop. Both with the correct sub folder directory.
For example.
I open up C1 and create a new session called "Sunshine".. the camera shoots normally to that folder and all is fine. However, when I go to my desktop there are two new folders. One called "Sunshine" and one called "OldShoot". This "Oldshoot" folder turns up every time I create a new session and although is not used or in the way is just annoying.0 -
And where or what must I rename, if I will change the name of the folder "Capture" to "01 Capture"? 0 -

Rename it from within CO6, Library tool (right click). Go the the System Folder section, not the Session Folder section.0 -
Sorry, I use it in german on mac.
In C1, Version 6 I click the tool "libray/Bibliothek", then I see all folders. And then? What right clicking?0
