    John,

The most efficient way to work is to use the default locations on your local C: for RAW image Session folders and for the Preview Cache.
    C:\\Program Files\\Phase One\\Capture One PRO\\Captures\\Your Sessions
    C:\\Program Files\\Phase One\\Capture One PRO\\Previews
I even make a Shortcut to the Capture One location on my Desktop for easy access. Then File Manage, i.e. Processed files can be moved to another location, and Once you are done with a Session you can archive settings and move RAWs and .C1w files elsewhere and the Preview Cache cleans out the Preview files .C1p
This is the methodology I feel is most efficient and eliminates problems.

However, You know what you want your workflow to be. Yes, you can choose other locations for your RAW Session folder and even your Preview Cache.
When you set another destination, be sure you have full Read + Write access and Permissions. Also, if placing images on server location, the location must be mapped. And finally, be sure anti-virus and/or FireWall software is off. This can slow down file transfers greatly if each file is being scanned.
Having the Preview cache on server will make shutdown time-consuming.

    Hope this helps you out.

    Sincerely,
    kc

Thanks, Keith, your logic sounds efficient & straightforward. I'll stick with the default locations.
    Cheers, John.
